To ensure optimum performance for years to come and to help preserve the metals, the designers strongly recommend bringing the tree portion and pump indoors when temperatures fall below freezing. The basin can remain in the ground.

Tips from the Engineer team:

• Make sure the ground is sloped back towards the basin so the splash apron can direct water back into it.
• Ensure the apron overlaps the side of the basin and allows water to return properly.
